This woman I know who’s in her 60s now was a model in LA, au pair in Paris, a master instructor in Pilates and has owned a studio for 25 years (next year). She had her kids later in life, divorced the husband, and now owns a farm with as many horses, dogs, cats, chickens, etc. as she wants. IM SO OBSESSED WITH HER!

for the longest time i never understood people’s obsession with the fig tree analogy because in my head it was still “don’t pick a fig and they all rot or pick a fig and it’s yours for life”. it wasn’t until a few years ago i realized the sooner you pick the first fig and try it the sooner you can decide if you want to try another. realizing you can literally have/ try them all changed my life.

yess exactly this!! in the book, ester (the main character) picks up a fig and just bites into it, and realises that she was just hungry the entire time (& that’s why the tree felt so overwhelming)
