The incident came to light on March 20 at their home in Rock County. Investigators say Oninski called a non-emergency line that morning and told a dispatcher her daughter had died the night before. When asked if medical help was needed, she reportedly said her daughter had already passed away. Authorities state that during the call, Oninski claimed her actions were meant to protect her daughter from someone else. Deputies later responded to the home and found the teen deceased. Oninski was also taken to a hospital for treatment. According to the criminal complaint, hospital tests indicated the presence of multiple substances in her system. Officials also noted she asked whether the incident had appeared in the news. She is currently being held on a $1 million bond, and her next court date is scheduled for April 14.
