EDIT because people completely misinterpreted this video. Yes, I completely acknowledge the fact that people found her hairstyle as an opportunity to bash her in a colorist and texturist way (which is completely unacceptable on ALL levels). HOWEVER, never in this video nor my comments have I suggested a hairstyle that would’ve loosened or straight up diminished her curl texture completely to seem more formal. Creators and even herself making a general statement about EVERYONE who didn’t like it, or simply saying it isn’t appropriate for a wedding is also unacceptable and just plain ignorant. She chose to go to someone else’s wedding looking like she was in the middle of wash day and people responded accordingly. Please stop acting dense in my comments, even going as far as saying that i am colorist/ texturist simply because im a lightskinned girl stating my opinion. Like ive said in my original caption, an afro of high puff would’ve been beautiful, and formal. I am literally the woker myself, but yall are choosing to act dense or simply misinterpret my video. Implying that i’m “policing black womens hair”when i’ve stated that neither her race or hair texture mattered, some (like me) are more focused on the hair STYLE than texture. Even the way she responded to constructive criticism in her comments was weird. I have been natural my whole life with type four hair and i STILL know there are hairstyles are deemed as acceptable or not acceptable for certain events , regardless of texture.#naturalhair #texturist #viral #fyp
