Valley of the Kings 🤴🏻 Luxor’s most iconic necropolis, is where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried including the world‑famous tomb of Tutankhamun. This desert valley holds dozens of richly decorated tombs, each with its own artwork and story. To know before you go: 🎟️ Tickets: Approx. 750 EGP (approx. £10.50) (includes 3 tombs; extra for Tutankhamun + extra for special tombs). ⏰ Opening Hours: Generally 06:00 am – 05:00 pm in the summer. Medinet Habu 🏛️ The temple of Pharaoh Ramses III on Luxor’s West Bank, is one of Egypt’s most well‑preserved ancient complexes. Walk through towering pylons, explore detailed reliefs of battle and ritual scenes. It’s beautiful, and less busy than the other two. To know before you go: 🎟️ Tickets: 220 EGP (approx. £3.10). It’s also included in the Luxor West Bank combined ticket if you’re planning multiple sites. ⏰ Opening Hours: 06:00 am – 05:00 pm in the summer. 🌅 I strongly recommend visiting all of these at around 6/6:30 am.
