I definitely wouldn't have the baby in a swaddle like that, let them be free to stretch and move and soothe themselves back to sleep

My second was like this and it was SO difficult trying to figure out if she was sleeping or not. At 3 months I had to put her in her own room because I would be up all night with anxiety wondering if she needs me or if she was just being a noisy sleeper

When my baby would active sleep like this I slept better. I was always glued to her bedside bassinet and when I heard her little grunts and sounds I’d fall right asleep. Silence is what would wake me 🤷🏻♀️

Oh yeah! One thing no one told me was about how much damn noise babies make that aren’t actual needs to pick them up lol I quickly realized if I saw his eyes open, he needed me, otherwise give him a moment before jumping up.

lol at some of these comments. My son is 15 months, not swaddled, and does this. Even when he's next to me. It's just how he transitions between sleep cycles sometimes. When he really cries, not this whining, that's when I go in and comfort him. Took awhile to learn
