@noahgoinscomics: #jimmahfood I had the pleasure of speaking with this artist yesterday on the panel pod and boy was it inspiring. If there’s any career I’d like to mirror, or suggest an artist to follow a blueprint of it would be Mahfood’s. I enjoyed every moment of diving through his work and seeing how much his style evolved from the initial 40 oz. comics, to the grll scout issues produced by oni (that I forgot to mention), all the way to Tank Girl and The Arachnid enforcer. I was also short on time and wanted to shout out Miami Vice, and His upcoming Sai story with peach momoko coming in april. There’s so much more to Mahfood than his artistry but his ability to stay independent and successful without being held back creatively by a corporation. It certainly seems like the dream, but doesn’t go without day in and day out of real dedication for DECADES.
