When asked about his inspiration he told me this. “I'm still really into pop culture as an adult and I regularly peruse free file sharing websites for 3D printing projects. I searched for "Bionicle" on a whim and lo and behold, someone had modeled all of the Toa Mata. I had a small fleet of printers at the time and that's when I knew I had to print a life size Bionicle! The hardest part of the project was slicing the individual parts up in a way that would minimize print time and plastic use but maximize part size.
