I love that I understand cars, know the mechanics of them, can read a wiring diagram, and know exactly what my techs are saying. Makes being a writer so easy and the techs and customers love it.

Speak for yourself “just a girl”. I’ve been in service 10 years and being female has gotten better in the Industry but people still treat us “less than”. This shit just perpetrates the stereotype.

being "just a girl" is no excuse. Anyone can learn about vehicles if they want. As a female service writer, I love when our techs tell the customers "Go talk to Amber, she knows just as much as we do and she's the one who can schedule you".
