They tried sending me home at 41 weeks in labor at 6cm dilated with contractions 3 minutes apart because I was not going fast enough. I told them no and stayed and had my baby.

Went from a 5 to fully dilated in three minutes. The nurse checked me and was so snotty. She said “you’re only 5 still”. Walked out. She got barely down the hall and I started screaming and pushing. And then my baby was here!

I don’t understand why it’s a bother to just check you again? I went into the hospital at 8cms and they didn’t even hook me up to the monitor because I “didn’t look like I was in pain” I wasn’t. I was fine. When they checked they were freaking out. Why is it a bother just to check?

They did the same thing to me!!!! They checked me when I was like 3 cm dilated and not even 30 minutes later. I was like I have to push and they kept letting me know you don’t. I just checked you. Anyway I delivered her basically on my own 🙃

I went from for 4-9 in 45 minutes. My nurses were kind but it is still wild to me when nurses don’t think it’s possible. It’s possible.

Yep isn’t it wild how they try to send you home? I also was at a 2 when I arrived to the hospital with my second. They told me the exact same thing.. walk in the halls. I walked, consistently had stronger contractions and continued to progress and he still was about to give me the “go home” talk. I didn’t even let him start the conversation and let him know I absolutely would not be going home. A few hours later I went to the birthing room, got an IV and blood work and asked to take a shower. While in the shower my water broke and my daughter was born 4 minutes later. So I delivered within about 20 minutes of getting to the birthing room lol. We likely would have had the baby at home or in the car if they would have sent me home.
