My poor husband went through it. Yes I was going through it but he couldn't fix it. We'd asked our parents if they'd like to visit while we were waiting. I was managing well and progressing well at the time and could use a distraction. My contractions came fast and hard suddenly. Our mamas of course jumped to help but I looked at him and not so nicely said get them gone and he immediately ushered them out politely 🤣him and my dad quietly cried in the hallway briefly cuz neither could fix it. most precious thing aside from our daughter that day.

As a Dad my all time most favorite time of my life was doing skin to skin with our second. she was running a low body temperature. I remember the heat lamp the warmed towels the new born baby smell. that is what I imagine heaven is like.

My dad was with my mom both times she was giving birth, every time she said it would hurt, he would put a towel on her head and whisper prayers to calm her down, my dads mom, may she rest in peace, was the head delivery nurse and she said “I’m not leaving my daughter in law so get another nurse right now” and she helped my mom have me and my sister while my dad held my mom

mine didnt leave my side. I had a bad reaction to the epidural and he was there holding my barf bag. he stayed up with me the whole time. he was so tired. I didnt have use of my leg for 3 days after my epidural and he helped me get around, use the bathroom and shower. he woke up with the baby since I couldn't get up to get him. im so blessed to have an amazing man. he's still so helpful at home.
