because the platform they based it on would only allow for a bed that size also its one of the cheapest new trucks you can buy if people need something bigger they would get a ranger or f150

Because it’s a ford maverick more ment for people who pretty much either retired or wanted a truck but have no need for it so it’s jusy used as a grocery getter not everyone needs a 8ft bed for every day commuting

I had a little pick up to start with and you can buy a long box but none that pick up. I don’t think but other pick up your kid.

Because most people are moving a few bags of trash, maybe a folding table and a tool bag. If you want a long bed they still make a 8ft bed

They’ll never admit it but that is exactly as much truck as most half ton owners need. They might haul a couple dozen bags of mulch twice a year.

I would be happy with a maverick. of course I also have a 10 f250 regular cab with the long bed. if I could afford it I would buy a maverick.
