Can it be on the side of your calf or just in the back? I have a hot hard spot but it is discoloured too, can see veins by it but they were already there, but I haven’t hit my leg so confused hell why it would just be a bruise, it’s very tender and tight

I had a DVT at 27, then at 39 I had 2 ischemic strokes because of a hole in my heart (PFO) that has been there since birth that I didn't know about. Do doctors ever look for a PFO because of a DVT to be more proactive?
