@aurifil: I tried quilting with 12wt thread… 👀 Ok but WHY did no one tell me about this sooner… This is where everything changed ✨ I started quilting with 50wt to secure everything… and then switched to 12wt on the machine (with 50wt in the bobbin) and the texture?? The detail?? Unreal. Following the curves of the pattern just made everything flow and those subtle thread changes added so much depth without overpowering the fabric. Even quilted the back to tie it all together because at this point… why stop 😅 Quilting really is the moment it all comes to life.

Quilting makes the quilt. It’s such a shame when people work so hard at the piecing and then basically hide it by just quilting all over the top willynilly just because it’s faster (or cheaper if you’re paying someone with a long arm).
