I took my 9 year old daughter who dreams of being an astronaut who is currently going to a STEM school to watch the launch, and when I tell you I got so emotional thinking about her having a chance to do this one day. What an amazing day and experience!

The look on her face: we’ve spent the last several years making this work, writing the code, doing the math, making the hardware, training the astronauts, and in the final 15 seconds there is nothing more to do except hope that every bit of that hard work will keep those human being perched on the top of that rocket safe for the duration of the trip.

All the people saying "Why are we doing this rn?" Doesn't this give you hope? Doesn't this give you a lick of optimism? That we as human beings CAN do this. We CAN achieve things. That we have the technology to ACTUALLY do something like this? I Teared up. This is an achievement. This is beautiful.
