My Vietnamese boyfriend rarely says ‘sorry’ for small things. Instead, he shows it through his actions.like cooking my favorite food, being more attentive, or giving me little gifts. But because I value the word ‘sorry’, he’s slowly learning that even small things deserve an apology.

when i accidentally bumped into a stranger, i often slip "sorry" not "xin lỗi" bc im not gonna taking all the faults😭 but of course, when things are super serious and need a proper apology, xin lỗi is a go to

it depends. in my family, we are taught to admit the fault and say 'Xin lỗi' when we were young. Not everyone practice this but sometimes a word could ease the situation
