if you consider it an oil, I always keep chili crisp at my house. I love frying my eggs with the oil from it

Aaron, thank you so much for including vegetable oil! I’m so sick of people on here demonizing it. While avocado oil is better it is not realistic for an average household to spend so much money on it. Veg oil is so cheap I’m not worried when I have to use a lot of it for deep frying.

i got a black sesame oil a while ago and although it has a pretty low smoke point, i find it imparts so much flavor. i also keep around mustard oil and some type of lard. i wouldn't call it a staple, but learning difference between toasted and untoasted sesame oil can be useful

genuinely surprised that butter or olive oil warrant the number one must-have first on your list.

Algae oil! Neitral & super high smoke point @ 535*. Better for you than olive oil. Pricey, but I love it.

I use crisco in my refried beans instead of lard. I'm sure it's terrible for me but it's so good

personally, well I won't say I'm anti olive oil, just that when I need a flavorful oil, imo I have other options (and ok fine I get tired of the taste fast) where my go to is various types of chili/flavor added oil, or mustard seed oil (iykyk)
