@dollartreedinners: DIY McRib 🍖🔥(Original from @cookinginthemidwest) When your brain is tired but you still want something fun 🙃 Ingredients (makes 2) • ~½ lb ground pork • Hamburger buns (or hoagie rolls if you have them) • BBQ sauce • Sliced onions • Pickles Quick BBQ Rub: • 1 tbsp brown sugar • 1 tsp paprika • ½ tsp garlic powder • ½ tsp onion powder • ½ tsp salt • ¼ tsp black pepper Instructions: Mix BBQ rub, then combine most of it with ground pork (reserve a little). Shape into patties and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle reserved rub on top. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes. At 10 minutes, brush both sides with BBQ sauce, brush more BBQ sauce every few minutes until fully cooked, for a thick and sticky coating Serve on toasted buns with onions & pickles. 9.5/10 approved ✔️ going in the dinner rotation #EasyRecipes #DinnerIdeas #budgetmeal #weeknightdinner #pickyeaterapproved #whatsfordinner #wevegotfoodathome #mcrib #mcribathome

I've done this, but lazy by using italian sausage pre cooked frozen meatballs. It's basically a McRib style meatball sub.

I was so fortunate to get a food processor for free that someone didn't want and it allows me to make my own "ground chicken" and "ground pork" from stuff I already had in the freezer. I'll have to try your mcrib

I know they aren’t the healthiest BUT if anyone only has access to a microwave, the Oncor bbq rib patties are a great option! At one point they were a staple when we didn’t have access to anything but a microwave and stove top 🫶🏻

I make pork burgers quite often. I season just like abeef burger. but put raspberry Chipotle sauce as a glaze and coleslaw on a brioche bun. it's so good.

Can someone explain to me why parchment and also could you sub w/aluminum foil? I'm sure this is something I should have learned years ago, but for whatever reason my mind tends to think of aluminum foil for meat and parchment for baking. I'm really ignorant on the topic 🙈

That was look really amazing. I use ground pork for tacos. Can you use it for lots of other things like lasagna wontons. There is a TikTok that went viral around Christmas and it was really good.
