a piece of cardboard to block the oil when it drains and if you don't have a piece of hose to fill it you should consider being a fry guy

I drilled a hole which drained the oil then tapped the hole and installed a drain plug.

this doesn't explain why the hourly rate is so high. who's out there paying $2500 for new tie rods and ball joints in their truck? not me. $900 and I get a new steering damper, u-joints, AND a pitman arm to go with them. is it going to take me longer to do it? yeah, likely, but that's $1100 I get to keep in my pocket for the low low price of a weekend of busted knuckles.

Sometimes it’s not the engineers fault, it’s the accountants that let them know what is in the budget. Engineers just work around within their limits.

Ever seen a mechanic trying to change the air filter on a Porsche? They literally have to take the back bumper off to get to it. Many exotic cars are worse. That's why an oil change is over $1K.

You don’t have to change the fluid 😂 my 2019 Tacoma with 376k miles I’ve never change that oil & it’s running great 🤪😝🐐

No. You get shallow close face ratcheting wrench and a bit. It amounts to about half an inch and fits fine to loosen. $35 for the bit and tool.
