America's not going to leave NATO but we're just going to pull our troops out of Europe in our military weapons to other fronts The president can do that without authorization of Congress.. hence close basees in Europe.

Thinking the U.S. gets nothing from NATO is wild. Those bases across Europe mean faster response, global reach, and stronger deterrence. It’s not charity it’s strategy. The U.S. gains power, allies, and influence without carrying everything alone. Plus, the intelligence sharing alone is huge, real-time info from dozens of allies makes the U.S. stronger and more prepared.
