yeah if I was that driver, when I saw the order: I would've looked up the address to determine if it had to go up stairs or contacted the customer and asked them. if they answer that there are stairs then I would be informing them that I will not be completing the order for the accepted price so they'd either have to wait or pay higher. sorry that is a no go for me😑

I stopped taking these kinds of order because they were taking a toll on my back. The pay/tip was not worth the long term affect on my body.

labor protection laws. 🤨🤨🤨 also all terms and conditions from the companies have stated emphasize that shoppers are not required to carry heavy loads upstairs or enter private hallways. It’s a safety and liability issue.

I think drivers should be able to see on their app if they have to used stairs or if the entrance is far away for heavy delivery and NOT take that order! People are talking advantage by ordering cases of heavy stuff and lots if bag of groceries and they trip cheap!

There should be a convenience fee if there is stairs or a long walk because of apartments or other obstacle that causes a longer than normal delivery.

Idk I live upstairs. If this happened, I'd bring my basket with wheels meant to take on stairs and help the driver take the delivery up. Everyone needs to work and he already did the part I needed him to do. When you live upstairs, you should be physically able to do this much. If you're not, then you should at least have tools to help you.

I wouldn’t be upset/take back the tip over this. I am physically disabled so if it’s a bad pain day I cannot carry them up and would ask someone (friend, neighbor) for help. So if the driver is willing to carry em then I’m HELLA tipping extra.

I once delivered 2 10 gallon jugs of water +10 bags of groceries up four flights of stairs because there were no elevators. It took me six trips. I huffed and I puffed, but I did it and I got a four dollar tip. 😂
