I don't understand... something so stable, should also be very inert, chemically... how can it be poisonus and inert!

most of the plastics that have been made have poly at the start because oxygen wad introduced to its final form no? like how ethylene turns into polyethylene with some oxygen, the better question is, if Teflon is this unreactive, at what temperature does it melt? if I recall from gregtech (I can be wrong here) its the last plastic one can make.

can someone explain if the carbon atom is connected to the next carbon atom and so on and so forth, how come the cylinder is a powder and not a solid Mass? wouldn't sand like grains in the form of a powder suggest that not every carbon atom attached to the next carbon atom? like what is the rule that governs, this is where it stops and makes this tiny little piece of sand like powder and then this is where the next one starts and stops as a tiny piece of sand. I don't know. Am I missing something?
