nah ur right , it was kinda out of character cus while I do get that she thought Mari and Nino were hiding something, cause it was Adrien who spoke up about it but at the same time... she was just with Mari the whole time. Before that, she was with Nino?? I don't think they knew well how to write her believing Nino and Mari were cheating and just did that.

I don’t know why everyone thinks Alya reaction didn’t make sense cause in my opinion, this is the most realistic example of love in Miraculous; she just heard that her best friend and boyfriend were hooking up behind her back, and she’s supposed to what, be happy? Her reaction was completely normal! Cheating happens all the time in the real world!

Alya believed it because for starters she knows Nino liked Marinette before and secondly knows Marinette is lying about something (I think she’s been suspicious the whole season? Idk?) and it just so happened to be on the day Adrien saw “Nino” and “Marinette” kiss and run off together Alya knows Adrien would not lie about this and with his reaction definitely knows he ain’t which is also a big accusation to which the Nino and Marientte didn’t really defend themselves but since we know the truth it’s easy to pick sides
