Renting a hanbok is like 30,000 krw but the fee without it to the palace is 3,000 😅 rent the hanbok for the experience but definitely not because it’s cheaper 😅

Also, on the last Wednesday of every month the entry to all palaces is free because they do a "culture day". That's what happened for me. I visited Gyeongbokgung palace on Feb 26th 2025 and it was free entry even without a Hanbok. I discovered this recently bc I was confused since I didn't rent a Hanbok and they entry was still free!

My fatal flaw as a mini-guide for friends when they came to Korea? Confidently taking them to Gyeongbokgung on a Tuesday, only to get completely rejected by the locked gates. 🥲 I memorized the schedule immediately after. Which palace is on your bucket list? 🤫

the secret garden renting website has some issues. we tried several times but when you go to check out it changes to say you need to log in, even if you already were, and then after you've used up the 'one reservation per day' thing so you just can't get in at all.
