@cassondrawanders: Little Red School House & Museum is a red wooden building with a white sign that reads "The Little Red School House and Museum" and above the main sign, a white sign reads "Chippewa School District No. 2, est. 1874." The museum will be open during the following times. Friday, April 24: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday, April 25: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM The Little Red School House Museum is one of the more detail-packed museums of Shepherd. The museum is housed in an old, one room schoolhouse. The Little Red School House museum was once the Landon Schoolhouse, and was built by John T Landon in 1874 so his many children could have an education. The museum is open every maple syrup festival. Inside is a large collection of interesting items presented, many of which were donated to the Shepherd Area Historical Society. The larger sibling to the Little Red School House Museum, the Powerhouse Museum, is in need of repairs and accepting on site donations. This museum holds three levels, each just fascinating as the schoolhouse. #schoolhousetok #shepherdmichigan #historical
