as someone who been in a street style fight before below the knee kicks and i managed a push kick i got lucky

High kicks are basically useless, not that they’re ineffective but too risky , knee kicks and ankle kicks and push kicks are not dangerous and still have big rewards

My wing Chun instructor is of the same opinion, but suggested only using the knee kick if you want to get sued for the cost of a knee reconstruction.

the guideline I always heard was, if your kick is slower than your punch, don't kick above the knee. Folks think they are the next Bruce, only to find out they're the next speed bag

Ofc this guy has more experience than most of us in mma but one question in a ufc fight if a fighter throws a kick and falls do we think said other fighter will backup? Same with tkd tournaments etc the other guy will capitalize off of your fall 99% of the time and yet kicks are still used I guess the biggest concern would be yeah your kicks may be fast but you don’t know how fast his fist is and wouldn’t want to be caught mid spin kick by a punch
