@leahshomestead: Our sheep gave birth yesterday and after losing a mom last lambing season and bottle feeding triplets, this one hit different 🤍 Two strong healthy lambs, one boy and one girl, and mama did everything perfectly. We treated the umbilical cords with iodine, gave a small dose of selenium + vitamin E, and separated them so they could bond safely. These are East Friesian dairy sheep and this is exactly why I recommend sheep over goats or even a cow for a lot of homesteads—so much simpler but still incredibly productive. #homesteadlife #lambingseason #sheeplife #dairysheep #homesteading
