I’m a psychiatrist and despite my own struggles and history, I look at Mental Illness from a more clinical perspective automatically. I can’t have my own stuff interfering with my ability to help others and do my job. One gets very good at compartmentalizing and intellectualizing in my position. Your painting of cPTSD unexpectedly brought tears to my eyes. Your art pierced through well established walls. I just wanted to let you know what powerful medicine your art is. It allowed me to access a place of pain, venting some of the miasma out, while keeping most of it contained. IT was an unexpected relief. Thank you.
