My grandmother had one when she lived in North Hollywood. She had a lovely garden that also had kumquats, guava, lemon, and orange. Looking at the Map app I see her entire garden is gone, now cement. 😢

Make some agua de nispero. Basically just blend some of the fruit and add that to a pitcher with water and sugar, kind of like making lemonade. The flavor is on-point with agua de tamarindo AKA tamarind water. It will also be a caramel color, so just FYI.
