I wish we didn’t combine our finances 😅 we were pushed to do so and did it immediately after getting married 6 years ago. We make it work, but dang I regret it.

I wouldn’t say my husband and I ‘split’ things 50/50, but I’m sure if i took a deep dive into who’s paychecks pay for what throughout the month, it’d be pretty darn close to 50/50. I thought this was normal!

I make 3x what my husband makes.. why wouldn’t I contribute to the bills we share? Rn I’m paying off student debt but when it’s gone it’ll probably be more of a 60/40 split to keep it equal.

we are 20 years old. in no world would i expect him to pay all my bills 💀 the car and phone i wanted? that’s MY responsibility 😭 we both use water and electricity, we both eat the food and we both live here so why should he have to pay for everything? i’m okay with working and paying
