@independent: Israel’s new death penalty law is “cruel” and will unfairly target Palestinians, human rights organisations have warned. The Knesset passed the legislation on Monday (30 March) which will see the death penalty imposed against Palestinians convicted of deliberate killings that are defined as terrorist acts under Israel’s discriminatory counter-terrorism law.
