I love all this talk about space travel but when we're in an energy crisis and flights are being cancelled and there is talk of no more travelling or holidays in the near future..these conversations about going to Mars, a desert rock planet, seems so utterly ridiculous.

Mars journey is not like the moon. Stop hyping. 3/4 months into deep space just to land on mars. Not possible if we already struggling with toilets on 3/4 day route to moon. Think about food, oxygen, everything. We are long long long way away from that. Not in our generation for sure.

First successful Mars trip is prob going to be possible by 2052. You must also remember that they can only do that trip once every 3 years due to Mars’ orbit. They also would need to find a way to launch from Mars. Landing will be messy but so is leaving. Oh, and they haven’t even found ways to develop artificial gravity at a level that would suffice space exploration. 😭
