Fix a flat is great for old cars but a nightmare with newer ones, found that out with a crv

... I don't live in financial demographic to care if my car blinks at me for no reason. it's either going to be a $20 repair off Amazon and 5 hours of swearing at a YouTube video, or I'm going into further debt at a garage.
check my tire pressure like twice a year, use a $30 chip reader to check codes when the car fucks up.

As a Walmart tire tech. Walmart tire centers install tire sensors for around $30 a sensor and free installation depending on the store.we use universal ones that get programmed to the car.

don't forget that the fix a flat coats the wheel too, and it needs to be removed or its never going to balance correctly even with a new tire. and techs haaaate having to clean the wheel. our shop charge full hourly labor rate for cleaning the wheel

Yes and flushable wipes will flush… they will not breakdown in a septic system…

I work at Walmart tire and lube as a technician and this one time my coworker popped a tire open and it was 100% of the way filled up with fix a flat. I told him that the tire was heavy as all get out for how big it was.

fixaflat is still great for tubed tires in a pinch and older cars without tpms, but it should always be a very last resort

They do in fact put "Safe for sensors" on most new fix-a-flat meant for on road use. Of course fix-a-flat has basically been junk since the formula change to make it non flammable

I work at advanced auto and I will never sell anyone fix a flat. Always recommend patch kits or compressor depending on how bad leak is

I have never ever used fix a flat. I always keep a plug kit in my trunk for emergencies, and I only ride on that tire for a max of 2 days. It's always best to get a new tire, and a spare if you can afford it. That way you're not screwed

Fix a flat is only good for tractors, lawn mowers, four wheelers and side by sides where you don’t have an option like these.

I got into an argument with a customer about shit like this. I hate fix-a-flat and damn tire polish turns into a unnecessarily mess tire repair

Couldnt you use the manual tire pressure gauge though? (not best option, just wondering if it'd work around this)

Has anyone seen what it does to rims? I’m not a tire slime fan but at least I’ve never seen it eat a rim from the inside
