The AI scans are garbage. Broadly, they are not accurate and just another tech bro gambit to sell software. Regarding Shy Girl, the crux is the author stating AI was used to create text. I would assume that’s a breach of contract. And taking the statement at face value, very suspect to think an author would publish a draft they did not read, with text they did not approve.

okay so if I am gathering this correctly someone said this Shy Girl is AI, however the methods and processes used to determine that were not consistent with proper so procedures so the findings at best sre suspect and at worst are some far out way to sell more AI detection tools?

Hey, just to clear things up, she didn’t admit to using AI in the book. She just said that she handed the book off to an editor, and the editor might have used Ai on it, but she’s not sure.
