Actually thank you so much, I’ve been rebuilding this yz250 1982 and the clutch worked fine but I messed it up, I noticed that gap and how it wouldn’t actuate, genuinely a life saver I’m going to do this

homie you've got the right idea you really are right, but if you look at the inner and outer pieces you will see two dots, every clutch basket has this, line them mfers up, way easier than to sit and continuously rotating the pieces to find the right slot
