when I started out I done a fair bit cos I was skint and didn't know if I could continue. beatport only now👊 and I only use them for gigs. however unfortunately there's some songs you can't get on pools

I always ask if somethings available on beatport usually... happy to pay £1.20 or so for a track, just if anything to have the waveforms right... although I do have a fair few vinyl rips that are impossible to get digitally

When I first started, I come clean I did rip. But I was djing for fun. When I got better and my ears were better trained to listen I started to notice the difference from a YT rip to a recordpool track, especially when I made my first mistake and used them on a venue. As I dj on venues now, no way will I ever use a YT converted track…for those arguing with you; just put the volume all the way up and come back and tell me there is no difference and it’s super clean 😂😂😂
