Thank you for responding to that comment. They were replying to me and I was really taken aback. All I did was provided anecdotal evidence of what you were taking to. I didn’t say it was the same for everyone, but they tried to invalidate me.

being able to step backwards or further back or further up to see the system is not an inherent skill In fact I wasn't able to do it until I started taking gummies So a lot of people are not going to get that they live in a system because their brains are not wired to they're not they don't have the capacity or energy to for me it was both I was a mama three and so I was running on survivor few more skills but now that they're older I have the capacity and energy but it still took gummies to be able to step back and see the system to see the patterns I see them now I see them now but awareness didn't arrive without extra help for me So a lot of people aren't going to see that they're part of the system

Thank you for responding clearly and respectfully. That’s how it becomes a learning experience. We are so quick to dismiss someone by saying, that’s not my experience so it doesn’t happen. I just had breakfast with my 85 year old mother. When my 90 year old nearly deaf dad walked into the kitchen she lowered her voice. She lowered it because we were talking about his 65 year old nephew who had left his wife for another woman. We weren’t gossiping, it happened. But here she was still lowering her voice around my dad who can’t even hear her.

I think that many people unfortunately have an all or nothing, black and white perception of reality. So many lack nuance hence the defensiveness. I can love a man with all of me, but I absolutely notice the difference in how my body reacts to one coming home compared to a woman. It could be the most annoying woman on earth vs the best man and there will still be a subtle calmness towards the woman.

Defensiveness comes from self absorption. Some people can’t put themselves in other people’s shoes. We are shaped by everything we’re exposed to and we’ve been inundated with gender role propaganda and fem policing.

5 years before my marriage ended I would have felt i didnt adjust my behaviour around my husband. But as soon as I kept him I saw it. I had completely lost myself. 3.5 years post separation (an actively choosing not to date) I've come a long way and I know myself so much better. Now I notice when I adjust. Its subtle, but it happens.

I live with my adult daughter because her son has autism and i provide the wraparound care. They left for a week in Greece and though I adore all of them I am ecstatic at the moment. Like "pinch me"
