@andersonacres14: HOMEMADE ENGLISH MUFFINS Ingredients 1 1/4c warm milk 2 Tbsp melted butter 2 Tbsp brown sugar 1 tsp active dry yeast 1 tsp salt 2 1/2c flour Instructions Combine the first 4 ingredients together in a bowl. Let stand 5 minutes or until yeast blooms. Add salt and flour and mix to combine. The dough will be sticky. Cover and set in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size. Turn the dough out on a very well floured surface and kneed until the dough doesn’t stick. Roll out to 1/2 to 1 inch thick with a well floured rolling pin. Use a cup to cut out circles. Repeat until all the dough is used. Place the English muffins on a pan lined with a baking mat and sprinkles with corn meal. Cover and let rise for about an hour. Heat a large pan on the stove and cook each English muffin over medium low for 3-5 minutes on each side or until golden.
