@aeriscarter: Claire Redfield can’t resist an opportunity to pick on her older brother! 🎣 This was inspired by a post that cracked me up from Die With Boots On, a store in Salem. I decided I’d take that Resident Evil: Code Veronica picture of Chris fishing (I love seeing the pictures of the Redfields in daily life from that game) and pull out all of the boots I use for my Claire Redfield costumes 🥾 and have at it! I know the background looks wonky, but it’s because I very poorly photoshopped Chris out of it and then tried to duplicate a cleaner cutout of half of the boat and flip it over to make one solid boat again, and it came out really bad, so I tried to blur it and warp it together properly and didn’t have sufficient time to make it perfect. 😭 It’s not AI; I just did this in a hurry and poorly. I still have my eyes peeled for a pair of slightly off white cowgirl boots with gold decals for a Rodeo Claire cosplay in the future 👀 but it may be awhile before I find the perfect pair, because I prefer to thrift boots that are well broken in. 👢 I know that Claire isn’t a Southerner like I am (I’m originally from North Carolina), but I do like that there’s some slight overlap between the cowgirl 🤠 culture of the Midwest and Southern culture.
