I see people getting scared to use em dashes and similies. why? because of AI. I thought we human invented both AI and em dashes. If its making your writing beautiful, you should go for it. Haters gonna say, you are using AI anyway. Authors who have beautiful Ideas and stories must stop worrying about it. I am sure you have characters who gave you enough to worry.

Yes!!! And English isn't even my first language. Learning how to use em dashes took an embarrassing amount of practice because my native language is basically powered by commas ☠️☠️

The funny thing is em dashes existed long before AI 😂 They can actually make dialogue and thoughts flow more naturally when used correctly. Punctuation suddenly getting accused now is wild Writers getting side-eyed for punctuation now 😭 But an em dash can actually improve pacing and make dialogue feel more natural when used right.

Omg!!! This annoys me sooo muchhh!! It’s like you’re apparently using ai when you use good grammar!! Also, I think em-dashes look pretty, am I the only one?? Uni also had gotten on this trend so writing essays is sooo much harder, like what the hell???
