Actually, when they made an egg cream in the candy store, they used seltzer from the soda dispenser, and as the seltzer was going in the glass, they would mix with a spoon real quick

We used to get the wooden crates of glass seltzer bottles delivered to us in Gravesend Brooklyn! We could even order the U-Bet syrup with the seltzer order!!

I’ll never forget the first time I had one. My grandfather died when I was 11 years old. And the limo driver brought me across the street from the Funeral home to some kind of shop and bought me one at the counter in the Bronx.
