That batter looks too much like cake it the wrong type of batter try this 1 cup Flour, 1 tsp Baking Powder, 1/2 cup Cornstarch, 1 cup Water 2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Sugar 1 tsp Oil this is the closest to what he was trying to do some people use less ingredients and use beer or soda water
