People need to realize space craft piloting is all math. It’s not like hopping in ur car and driving, if you tried to eyeball getting to the moon you would miss it. The path for this craft has been mapped out and programmed into the rocket by professionals who know wtf they r doing.

It’s more about getting enough horizontal velocity to get into orbit to then use a bit more fuel once they’re stable to slingshot to the moon. Saturn V went straight up which resulted in over 4 million gallons of fuel usage compared to Artemis using 700 thousand
