Yeah, leaving a baby in the car is illegal, even if it's 2 minutes. Also like if you've parked the car, even with it running and the air still on, sometimes the cooling stops working well if your car is low on antifreeze.

Why was the baby in the car alone in the first place. Like let's assume that the internal temp in the car was safe, it's still incredibly dangerous to leave a small child unattended in a car. They could get ahold of something in the car and choke on it, they could get the door open and just wander into traffic.
