Guys don’t be disheartened!! I had no idea what I wanted to do until I was 20 and I did an access to HE and go to Bristol vet school! (I have no ALevels and awful GCSEs)

OMG this is the exact combination I'm going to apply for... maybe I shouldnt? would you advise applying to less competitive unis? and do you mind sharing your grades and work experience?

Everyone saying take a gap year for experience meanwhile the principle of RVC told me at the Sutton trust summer schools that if someone had 200 hours compared to 400 they wouldn’t just be biased and pick the one with more work experience 😂🤦🏽♀️

I know this must feel disheartening but make sure you consider the financial implications of doing a shorter degree before vet med. I am having to self fund my 5 year vetmed degree after doing a two year top up degree as SFE will only finance the first degree usually. I reapplied twice to vet school even with all the grades and 20 years of vet nursing so having to reapply doesn’t reflect on you x

Notts may do their 2nd intake on clearing but honestly, a year out to gain some proper work experience will put you in a much better position next year. Are you eligible for gateways as your 5th? Also, unless you live in Scotland, don't waste a selection on Edinburgh.

Took me three years to get into vet med. 3rd application I got 3/4 offers. Use the gap year to gain more experience, it really helped me during the interview stations!
