So he was making £15 there years ago , makes £20 now , did someone calculated that prices go up . Not saying he shouldn’t pay more but the increase is quite big .

if they want to do that they also need to take into account all the other things he payed when he didn't had to. yes it was voluntary but since the child support increase isn't, all the data needs to be taken into account

It sounds like they had a good arrangement going and were communicating well. this might not end well for their co-parenting relationship. I understand that she might have less and that we haven't heard from her. From his story alone though I would stop helping her with her bills and only do what we mandated by the courts.

sorry, someone's calculations are off. he would be paying in the 6-700. even if he was an absentee father, he still wouldn't be paying 900 for that amount of income. and the fact that he's paying some of her bills to this day, but is still expected to pay more. how much longer till they request 1200 a month?

so how much time your able to spend with your child determines how much you pay in child support thats messed up, as he too needs to survive and has bills of his own and pays part of her bills on top of his own.
