I always wondered the opposite about fireflies/lightning bugs…. I rarely see them any more but remember them being every where growing up!

i played in the woods sun up to sun down as a kid and NEVER seen a tick not once. There were none! Never saw those white streaks in the sky either 🤷🏼

i was born in 1975 grew up in southwestern Pennsylvania was outside every second of everyday and never really encountered a tick until about 15-20 years ago!

Grew up in West Virginia and always had dogs. We always had ticks that got on us and the dogs, but never had to worry about Lyme disease or anything else.
