you can get a single set of interchangeable needles from chiagoo off of Amazon for about $25, and then you can add whatever needle gauge you need for around $10 after that. I knew interchangeable were the way to go due to ribbing but I didn't want a whole set and only use three or four sizes. also ten dollars per project vs $100 up front tends to be easier to stomach. also if you need very niche gauges then you don't feel crazy for buying yet another set of needles when you bought a full set already

Chiaogoos are elite! I have the blue and red set. The blue gets used a lot for hats and sweaters, the red a lot for mitts and kid sweaters.

I want the blue set. I just bought the red set, because you got me obsessed with mitts when I live in California and it’s about to be summer. I have 1 fixed set of 9” 2.25, but I’ve knit socks before. If I don’t knit the mitts together I will never finish send one 😂. Plus all yarns and tops I knit is fingering-Dk. I have addi, but I love Chiaogoo shorties. Btw thank you for all your mitt videos I’m obsessed. When I’m finished with peaceable mitts I’m knitting that bird mitt. I just want them open like fingerless like your dk one

You can find a pack of two inch cables. I connect one to the middle length cable with the extender and it makes them 16 inches perfect for an adult hat!

I really need to keep trying to use shorties for socks. They hurt my hands, but I’m determined to find a way to hold them.

I do love the red set because it comes with longer needles and shorter ones and having my right hand needle a little longer than the left is game changing. Addi clicks also has a fixed option that have the right hand needle already longer and they are the best!
