Idk how it works but I remember seeing something where coasters get faster the more the train is ran throughout the day by like 2-3 mph

i heard it’s bc colder air makes the steel constrict idk and so less friction

Heat on the track, and also rider weight and as it goes on through the day it gets faster because it starts to heat up, and weight of riders plays a part swell in the speed/time of a coaster, so there's practically no way that a coaster can only run faster at a certain time.

Heat… heat makes things work harder making it slower, metal expands , all do nothing but slow it down a bit, cooler makes it not work as hard
