sasuke was failed by the system just like itachi his older brother the whole point of his character at the beginning was to get revenge on itachi and the people who caused his pain and suffering once he gets his revenge obito and itachi help make it clear to him that the vengeance he seeks has no real value to it and instead focuses on protecting others from the same system which failed him
