There is either satin or stretchy ribbons usually when you first start pointe some teachers will only reccomend satin for some reason

ooh i think i know what she means, maybe im wrong but i think she was asking about the actual ribbon being satin or elastic! at my studio we were always given satin ribbons, and i had to make the decision to switch to elastic ribbons (which i way prefer) on my own. satin ribbons definitely did not work for me and i highly recommend switching to elastic ribbons if you experience any trouble. 🤍🤗🌸🤍🌸🤍🌸🤍

the ribbons are for ankle support. Pointe shoe elastics are more of a new thing. The other day my ribbon ripped off and even with the elastics, I couldn’t dance like that because of the lack of support. Even if I didn’t have elastics I am positive that the ribbons would keep the shoe on my foot and supported

Hi Lori!! I love ur videos SO much and ur SUCH and inspiration to me. I am two months into pointe and I was wandering if u could give tips for pirouettes and fouettés en pointe and on demi pointe. I do exercises to help with turns but I want to at least get two pirouettes en pointe this year. And maybe fouettés en pointe next year as I am still building strength and trying to not fall out of them on demi pointe.😅
